SUCKER PUNCH
Sucker Punch, the live-tronica Super Group featuring Marc and Aron of The Disco Biscuits, Zach of Sector Nine, and Jamie of the New Deal was formed specifically for the Zen Livetronica Festival. Each member was carefully hand picked to put together a truly remarkable group of musicians who have been steadily leading the charge in a new musical movement.

BROTHERS PAST
Bubbling up from just outside the city limits of Philadelphia, Brothers Past have rapidly made a name for themselves on the East Coast with their blend of songwriting and effects-oriented improvisation. The band's music is a blend of layered, four dimensional audio soundscapes, ranging from ambient style space to earth shaking explosiveness, and covering all of the ground in between. At each performance, an entirely new range of sounds are created, grounded in the band's ever expanding repertoire of original songs.

BIG IN JAPAN
Big In Japan, the three piece from Baltimore, have been stealthily popping up for the last three or four years now. They have done residencies at various clubs and lounges in Baltimore as well as playing parties along with DJs such as Dieselboy, Bad Company and Andy C and various Ultraworld events. Big in Japan do NOT try to emulate, copy or smell like a DJ, yet this culture is still their natural habitat. Their style is 'we have no style'.

LOTUS
Lotus, a five-piece ensemble, creates astonishingly danceable soundscapes.The music is heavily influenced by electronic music such as jazzy-house and drum 'n' bass mixed with elements of jazz, funk, and ethnic music from India, Africa, and Latin America. Lotus's seamless mixes and interlocking rhythms play like a DJ, but with a human touch. The result is a sophisticated yet accessible dance music that appeals to fans of live music,funk and jazz, and reaches into electronic music communities.

CONCENTRIC
Concentric adds its own chapter to modern dance music with a delicate yet ruthless blend of electronic house and high-octane power. The Burlington, VT trio has honed its live show consisting of virtually nonstop sets of synth sweeps and melodies, relentless human drumming,and throbbing bass. Ranging from smooth R&B to progressive rock to house anthems, Concentric's influences take shape to create music that is extremely catchy, constantly danceable, and technically interesting. With silky vocal samples, pulsing bass, and unceasing kick drum, drummer Tobias Rower, bassist Aram Bedrosian, and keyboardist/programmer Tim Marcus are aimed at setting their mark in the worlds of House, Electronic, and Progressive music.

BRAINSTORM
Brainstorm is a young four piece emerging from the alleys of Coatesville, PA. Playing all original ass shakin' jams they inject some much needed get down into the day to day blah. They are first and foremost a live act and everything else is secondary. Their sound is a wide range of musical styles with an electronic emphasis. From the first note to the end of the set you can expect to be taken on a ride through hills and valleys, dark and colorful transitions, bright beautiful blasts and triumphant resolutions.
