Chi-town buddies Future Rock and Orchard Lounge will be performing and anyone that was at the last FR/OL show at the Delancey will tell you to make a killer cocktail add equal parts Future Rock, Orchard Lounge and the Venue and mix well. This time we have a special treat of having Johnny Rabb performing a DJ (drumjockey) set. This will be a show not to be missed! The thought of all those collaborations simply gets us as excited as little schoolgirls. THURSDAY 3/8/07 & FRIDAY 3/9/07 Johnny Rabb's BioDiesel BYOB LOFT PARTIES 302 West 37th Street 6th Floor (@ 8th Ave) New York, NY $20 ticket and BYOB! Doors: 9 Show: 10 - ?? Awww yeah! Johnny Rabb & Clay Parnell bring the project BioDiesel back to New York City but this time with a few twists. The chemistry was something special at the debut performance on 11/30/06 and we knew we'd have to do something really amazing this time out. How about having full reign of a midtown loft space that we can bring our own booze? That's what we thought! So we've rented out a space, bringing in sound and lights and we're going to throw a party OUR way. Both nights will feature Johnny Rabb and Clay Parnell but we're going to have a myriad of others sitting in with these two. On the Thursday 3/8 show will feature Adam Holzman on keys. This guy used to be Miles Davis' musical director and is sure to add some serious flavor to the grooves JRabb & Parnster will be laying down. The Friday 3/9 BioDiesel show will feature Dr. Nigel from Psylab on keys. The doctor is in the house to administer the medicine to cure the sickness brought on by the rhythm section. The shows are all ages BUT you need to be 21+ (with proper ID) to drink. We will be providing ice in order to keep your drinks cold! We will NOT be providing mixers. We want everyone to be safe and not get out of control (we want to do more of these in the future!) so we're going to limit the number of drinks per person allowed inside. MAXIMUM 10 drinks per person! What does this mean? What equals 1 drink? (1) 12 ounce can or bottle of beer = 1 drink (1) 750 ml bottle of wine = 4 drinks (1) 750 ml bottle of liquor = 20 drinks For example, if you're coming alone you can bring 1 six-pack of beer and a bottle of wine(6 drinks + 4 drinks = 10 drinks). If you bring a bottle of liquor it would require you to have a friend (who's also 21+) that's not bringing anything (2 people @ 10 drinks = 1 bottle liquor). Sound fair? We think so! Last thing we want is anyone to get hurt. The whole idea here is to have a good time right? |
